Seven days, twelve dives and three very different sets of reefs, with every ferry, permit and transfer handled for you.

The three islands dive nothing like each other, and a week that only sees one of them has seen a third of the place. This trip moves you across all three on ferries we book, so the only thing you carry between islands is a bag.

The three halves

Havelock is offshore and deep - pinnacles, current and big fish. Neil is shallow and slow, and it holds the best macro in the islands under an old jetty that looks like nothing at all. The marine park off Wandoor is the coral, in condition nowhere outside a protected zone can match.

Why Advanced

Because Dixon and Johnny's Gorge are the reason to come, and both of them sit below 18 m. If you are Open Water we would rather sell you the Advanced course in the first three days of this trip than sell you a week where you sit out the best mornings.

Cellular Jail on the Port Blair evening if the light show is running. Radhanagar on Havelock. The natural bridge on Neil at low tide. Between dives, sleep - twelve dives in seven days is more tiring than it reads.

What the trip actually looks like once you are on the boat.

  1. ArrivalPort Blair and the crossing to Havelock

    Met at the airport, on the afternoon sailing, kit fitted the same evening. The first dive is tomorrow at seven.

    The long crossing first while the sea is flat. Dixon on a fresh morning, then a shallow second dive on the way home.

    Three dives today. The plateau in the morning, the ridge after lunch, and the Lighthouse after dark for anyone who wants it - it is optional and about half the group takes it.

    Morning sailing to Neil, in the water by mid-afternoon. One dive on the wall to settle in.

    Macro all day. Bus Stop in the morning, then the old jetty - which looks like nothing, holds seahorses and frogfish, and is the dive people talk about on the flight home.

  6. Marine parkBack to Port Blair and out to Jolly Buoy

    Early ferry to Port Blair, then the drive to Wandoor and the boat into the park. Two dives in protected water and the best hard coral of the trip. No plastic on the island - carry a steel bottle.

    No diving - your no-fly clock has been running since yesterday afternoon. Logs signed, the photo set handed over, and a drop at the airport for any flight after eleven.

Before you dive

The rules every diver on this trip is held to. None of them are negotiable, and none of them are a surprise on the day.

  • Minimum age

    Divers must be 15 or older on the day of the dive.

  • Medical declaration

    A medical declaration is signed by every diver. Answer yes to anything on it - asthma, heart conditions, recent surgery, pregnancy, prescription medication - and a physician's sign-off is needed before you dive. Tell us at the enquiry stage, not on the boat.

  • Flying after diving

    Leave at least 24 hours between your last dive and your flight. Book your trip home with that gap already in it - we cannot shorten it for you.

  • Insurance

    Dive-specific insurance covering recreational diving to your certified depth is required and is not included. DAN World and DiveAssure both cover the Andamans; the nearest recompression chamber is in Port Blair.

The small print

  • Payment

    Twenty-five per cent confirms the dates and holds your seats on the boat. The balance is due seven days before you arrive. We take bank transfer and UPI; card payment goes live when the gateway does.

    Prices are per person unless the variant says otherwise, and taxes are included in the number you see.

  • Cancellation

    Cancel more than 21 days out and the deposit is refunded in full. Between 21 and 7 days we keep the deposit. Inside 7 days the trip is charged in full, because the boat and the guide are already committed.

    If we cancel a dive for weather or sea state, that dive is refunded or moved - your call, and there is no argument about it. A dive you sit out on medical advice is refunded in full.

  • Terms and conditions

    Every diver signs a medical declaration and a liability release before entering the water. A "yes" on the medical form is not a refusal - it means a doctor signs it off first, and we will tell you that before you book rather than at the jetty.

    Certification cards are checked on arrival. If your last dive was more than twelve months ago we will ask you to take a refresher, and it is chargeable.

Questions divers ask

  • Is Advanced certification really required?

    For the Havelock days, yes. We can run the Advanced course inside the first three days of this trip if you are Open Water - ask, and we will price it as one booking.

  • Twelve dives in seven days - is that a lot?

    It is a real week of diving and most people are tired by day five. The itinerary has a single-dive day built into it for exactly that reason.

  • Is nitrox included?

    On every tank, for anyone with an enriched air certification. If you do not have one, the specialty runs alongside this trip in two days.

  • What is the no-fly plan?

    The last dive is on day six before four in the afternoon, which gives more than the eighteen hours a repetitive-dive profile needs before a day-seven flight. We will not shorten it for a cheaper ticket.

  • What if the marine park is closed for our dates?

    Access alternates between Jolly Buoy and Red Skin by season, and the park closes in the monsoon. If neither is open we run two dives off Wandoor instead and refund the permit.
