Four days, six dives, and the three sites people come back for. The shortest trip we run that still feels like a diving holiday rather than a day out.
This is the trip we recommend to somebody with limited days and a card in their wallet. Four days on the ground, three dive mornings, six dives, and an itinerary that puts the offshore sites first so the weather has two more chances to cooperate if the first morning is out.
Afternoons are yours. Most people spend the first one asleep and the second at Radhanagar, and both are correct.
Who it suits
Certified divers from Open Water upward. If you are Advanced you will dive Dixon and Johnny's Gorge; if you are Open Water the same mornings run at Jackson Bar and Turtle Bay, and nobody is left on the boat.
What it does not include
The flight to Port Blair. We book the ferry, meet you at the airport and take it from there.

Between the dives
Radhanagar beach for the sunset on day two - it is a twenty-minute drive and it is worth the cliché. Kalapathar in the early morning if you are up before the boat. The elephant beach trail if you have energy left, which you will not.

ArrivalPort Blair, the ferry, and a kit check
We meet your flight at Port Blair and put you on the afternoon sailing to Havelock. You are on the island by early evening. Come to the dive centre before you eat - we size your kit, check your card and your logbook, and run the first briefing so that tomorrow starts at the jetty rather than at a counter.

Dive day oneDixon Pinnacle and Turtle Bay
Out early for the long crossing while the sea is flattest. Dixon first - deep, blue and the most demanding dive of the trip, which is why it goes on a fresh morning rather than a tired one. A long surface interval, then Turtle Bay on the way home for a shallow, unhurried second dive.

Dive day twoJohnny's Gorge and Jackson Bar
Johnny's Gorge on the first tank - the coral heads at 26 m, and the one dive on this trip where nitrox genuinely changes what you get. Jackson Bar second, drifting the ridge with the current, finishing shallow over the hard coral.
If you are Open Water certified, both dives run within your limits at Jackson Bar and Turtle Bay instead, with the same guide.

Dive day threeTwo shallow dives, then the ferry
Two easy dives close in - Turtle Bay and the Lighthouse slope - deliberately shallow so your no-fly clock starts early and shallow. Kit rinsed and logged by eleven, ferry at two, and you are in Port Blair for an onward flight the next morning.
We do not schedule a dive on the day you fly. Ever.

From the water
Before you dive
The rules every diver on this trip is held to. None of them are negotiable, and none of them are a surprise on the day.
Minimum age
Divers must be 12 or older on the day of the dive.
Medical declaration
A medical declaration is signed by every diver. Answer yes to anything on it - asthma, heart conditions, recent surgery, pregnancy, prescription medication - and a physician's sign-off is needed before you dive. Tell us at the enquiry stage, not on the boat.Flying after diving
Leave at least 18 hours between your last dive and your flight. Book your trip home with that gap already in it - we cannot shorten it for you.
Insurance
Dive-specific insurance covering recreational diving to your certified depth is required and is not included. DAN World and DiveAssure both cover the Andamans; the nearest recompression chamber is in Port Blair.

The small print
Payment
Twenty-five per cent confirms the dates and holds your seats on the boat. The balance is due seven days before you arrive. We take bank transfer and UPI; card payment goes live when the gateway does.
Prices are per person unless the variant says otherwise, and taxes are included in the number you see.
Cancellation
Cancel more than 21 days out and the deposit is refunded in full. Between 21 and 7 days we keep the deposit. Inside 7 days the trip is charged in full, because the boat and the guide are already committed.
If we cancel a dive for weather or sea state, that dive is refunded or moved - your call, and there is no argument about it. A dive you sit out on medical advice is refunded in full.
Terms and conditions
Every diver signs a medical declaration and a liability release before entering the water. A "yes" on the medical form is not a refusal - it means a doctor signs it off first, and we will tell you that before you book rather than at the jetty.
Certification cards are checked on arrival. If your last dive was more than twelve months ago we will ask you to take a refresher, and it is chargeable.
Questions divers ask
Do I need to be certified?
Yes, this trip is for certified divers. If you have never dived, the Havelock Discover Scuba Day Trip or the Open Water course is where to start - and the course fee comes off if you upgrade before you arrive.
What if the weather cancels a dive?
We move it to another morning wherever the itinerary allows, and refund it if it cannot be moved. Weather cancellations are never charged.
How soon after the last dive can I fly?
Eighteen hours after a repetitive dive is the guidance we hold to, and the itinerary is planned around it - your last dives are shallow and finish before midday, a full day before an onward flight.
Is nitrox available?
Yes, on the Premium variant it is included on every tank you are certified for. On Standard it is charged per tank at the desk.
Can a non-diving partner come?
Yes. The snorkel line runs off the same boat at a reduced rate - tell us at the enquiry stage so we book the seat.
