Every dive runs to PADI standards: a proper briefing, checked kit and a guide in the water with you. Minimum age, the medical declaration and no-fly-after-diving guidance are all covered with you long before anyone gets wet.

Typical underwater visibility through the year, month block by month block, so you can pick your week before you pick your course. These islands dive best on the north-east monsoon; the south-west monsoon shuts most of the outer sites down.

Visibility is a typical range, not a guarantee - the Andaman Sea gives clear days in a poor month and flat ones in a great month. Tell us the week you are thinking of and we will tell you honestly what the water has been doing.

Best first dive I could have asked for. The instructors were unbelievably patient - I panicked at four metres on the first attempt and nobody made me feel stupid about it. Second attempt went fine and I finished the course three days later.
Only one of us dives. Every other operator we spoke to had a plan where the other one sat on a beach for four days. Aqua Nomads put the snorkel line off the same boat, so we were in the same water the whole week - and by day three I had done a Discover Scuba dive too. The sunset sailing on the last evening was the best hour of the trip.
Priya and Arjun NairHoneymoon, FebruaryThey called the Dixon crossing on our first morning because of a swell, and I was quietly annoyed. We dived Jackson Bar twice instead and it turned out to be the best day of the week. Getting Dixon on day three in flat water made the point - they were right and I was wrong.
Two teenagers, neither of whom had dived. The instructors worked one-to-one with both of them for the first two dives without us asking, and my daughter has since booked her Open Water for next December. Whatever they did, it worked.
I cannot swim well and I said so when I booked. They ran the whole thing one instructor to one diver, stayed in the shallow half of the bay, and never once made it feel like a concession. I have since done the swim assessment and the full course.

No. Roughly half the people who dive with us have never breathed underwater before. The Discover Scuba programmes take you out the same morning with an instructor one-to-one, to a maximum of 12 m.
The season runs October to May. December to February is flattest and busiest, March and April are our own favourite months, and we close for the monsoon rather than sell you a boat ride.
Six at most, with four divers to a guide. On the private variants it is one guide to two divers.
On every package and course listed here - BCD, regulator, wetsuit, mask, fins, tanks and weights. Bring your own mask and computer if you own them.
Eighteen hours. Every itinerary we sell is planned around it, with shallow dives on the last dive day finishing before midday.
We move it if the itinerary allows and refund it if it does not. A weather cancellation is never charged, and we make that call at the jetty rather than halfway out.
